Peptonic’s patented intimate cleanser to be sold in 293 Apoteket stores

Peptonic Medical AB (publ) (“Peptonic”) announced today that the company’s patented intimate wash, VagiVital Moisturizing V Cleanser, is being offered for sale in 293 Apoteket stores in Sweden.

”VagiVital Moisturizing V Cleanser is more than just an intimate wash as it also moisturizes, balances pH and does not disturb the delicate intimate microflora. It is very gratifying that Apoteket is recognizing this and now starts selling our preventive intimate wash in its physical stores. The agreement is yet another proof that our unique holistic concept of Diagnosing, Treating and Preventing attracts both end customers and distribution channels,” said Peptonic’s Sweden Manager Fanny Falkman Grinndal.

The global intimate cleanser market is approx. 1.2 billion USD on the consumer level, and growing at an annual rate of approx. 3,5%. Somewhat simplified, the market constitutes of soaps and oils. With soaps there is a risk of disturbing the vaginal microflora possibly leading to dryness and vaginal infections, and with oils there is a challenge to cleanse water soluble impurities. Peptonics intimate cleanser is positioned in between.

Based on the company’s clinically proven vaginal gel and a Nordic botanical oil, VagiVital Moisturizing V Cleanser allows cleansing of both water and oil soluble impurities. Unlike soaps Peptonics intimate wash is able to do this without surfactants which is also the reason why Peptonics product is patented and does not disturb the sensitive micro flora. VagiVital Moisturizing V Cleanser also moisturizes the intimate area and is recommended by gynecologists.

VagiVital Moisturizing V Cleanser will be available in Apoteket’s stores in February 2024, and the agreement applies to distribution in 293 of Apoteket’s physical stores.

”One year ago we had one product distributed in Apoteket physical stores, from February next year we will have four which shows a great and growing interest from retail channels and consumers in our portfolio strategy” said Erik Sundquist, CEO of Peptonic Medical.

The increased distribution of products in Apoteket AB is projected to add approx. 1-1.2 MSEK in annual sales for Peptonic Medical in Sweden.
