Peptonic Medical AB (publ) (\u2018Peptonic\u2019 or \u2018Company\u2019) today announced that during May Apoteket AB will expand the distribution of Peptonic\u2019s self-care product VagiVital\u00ae from today\u2019s 30 to 250 of its retail pharmacy shops in Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since February this year, VagiVital\u00ae can also be purchased on the Apotektet AB\u2019s webshop (www.apoteket.se<\/a>). In connection with this distribution expansion, Peptonic has received a purchase order from Apoteket worth 440,000 SEK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to Apoteket AB, VagiVital\u00ae can be purchased from the webshops of Apoteket Hj\u00e4rtat (www.apotekhjartat.se<\/a>) and Kronans Apotek (www.kronansapotek.se<\/a>) , and on www.apotea.se<\/a>, www.meds.se<\/a>, www.apotek365.se<\/a> and www.apohem.se<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In April this year, Orion Pharma OY launched VagiVital\u00ae in Finland under its own trade mark, Femisan Vital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Johan Inborr, CEO VagiVital\u00aeis a patent pending hormone free self-care product for the treatment of vaginal atrophy and vaginal dryness. The product has been tested in randomised clinical studies (vaginal atrophy) with very positive results both for objective (vaginal pH and proportion of superficial cells in the vaginal mucosa) and subjective (most bothersome symptoms, such as vaginal dryness, vaginal irritation\/itching, dyspareunia and dysuria) parameters. The magnitude of symptom relief is on par with that demonstrated with e.g. prescription estrogen based products on the market today. It was very well tolerated and caused no serious adverse effects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n VagiVital\u00aewas launched in Sweden as a non-prescription self-care product in July 2018 (see www.vagivital.com<\/a>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n Peptonic Medical is an innovative Swedish medical development company.
